This is a forum/journal meant to explore thoughts and ponderings relating to the area of suffering. As a hospice nurse that works with patients and families who are experiencing a terminal illness or a very debilitating illness, I continue to glean much in this very specific "calling". This ongoing journal is meant to be a place of reflection and dialogue as this area of suffering and death is not understood by many.
A quote from God says "The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning" (1) and I pray that we can all gain wisdom from one another as we journey together in life.

- Hello! I have the honor to work as a hospice nurse that serves families where a loved one is diagnosed with a terminal or debilitating illness. I am grateful for my family and friends who help keep me grounded in the midst of my inclination towards deep thoughts and deep sighs. My Mom, who is almost 85, is ready to leave this life to go on to Live Eternal.....but since neither her nor her children have walked this road, I AM SO thankful to have you to come to....
